Today, we went on a play date with Erin and Owen. It had been a very long time since we had seen them. Our destination was the Children's Museum for a few hours of fun.
Once again, I don't know how Andrew managed to find the grubby doll again, but he did!

Back to the cars! Andrew spent about 20-30 minutes playing with the wooden cars while Owen explored the rest of Playscape.
At one point, I realized that Andrew was hoarding all of the cars around him so he could keep a watchful eye on the other children who wanted to take them from him.
We stuck around for the Silly Songs music program, but Andrew was not amused. He shook his rattle a little bit, but refused to get up a dance and ended up pouting and crying most of the time. Maybe next time...
What was really sweet was Andrew saying goodby to Mr. Bear. He gave him a HUGE hug and didn't want to let go. I had to pull him away so another little girl could say goodbye to him, too. Andrew didn't appreciate that and shed a few tears as we were leaving.

Last stop, before heading home, was the carousel! This was Andrew's first time to ride it. Considering that he was already cranky, he did surprisingly well. He sat on his giraffe and watched the twinkling lights go 'round and 'round, but he wouldn't smile (or look) for the picture.

Maybe next time we'll entice Owen to sit still and Andrew to get up and dance. Maybe.
