Passive Aggressive Much???

We think Andrew has some passive aggressive tendencies.  He has been obsessed with stacking his blocks (blocks that belong with his train tracks) as high as they can go.  He can usually make it to 9 or 10 before they fall down, but he didn't quite make it this time.

Staying Limber

Dustin's been training to run his first 1/2 marathon next month (provided that his Achilles mends itself beforehand).  As any athlete understands, stretching prior to exercise is important.  Andrew has been watching his daddy and let's just say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

"Touch the sky!"

"Stretch those arms!"

"Touch your toes!"

He's feeling pretty limber...

...until Daddy face-plants one on him!

Thunder Up!

The OKC Thunder were lucky enough to be in the NBA Finals, so Nana Fonda sent Andrew his very own Thunder t-shirt.  He sported this on the night they lost to Miami, so I don't know how to feel about that.  :)  Anyway, he was showing off his new shirt the other day while he was playing outside.

He usually looks happier than this.

Counting his "rockies".

He loves looking in the garden.

Just checking out which type of pepper plant Daddy planted.

"I wonder how much rain we've gotten."

"Oh, that's right!  None!"

Sand Box

I just realized it's been over 3 weeks since I last posted.  Shame on me.  We've had a busy summer.  Dustin and I have been doing lots of yard work and gardening.  Dustin finally got around to making Andrew's sandbox.  Thanks to the Bellomo's for planting the seed.  ;)  Here's our finished sandbox!

Andrew still acts a little weird about getting his feet in the sand.  I think the texture freaks out his little toes.  He doesn't have a problem playing with the sand, which is good considering how much time and effort Dustin put into the sandbox's construction.

He refused to put his feet in.  That's what the benches are for!

Benches on both sides.

They fold down when you're finished and become a lid to keep all of those pesky critters out.

Dustin did such a great job on this, which knowing how much of a perfectionist he is, was a no brainer.  He vows that he will not work on another "project" in the near future, but as I type this he is taking down the basketball hoop and board to sand and repaint.  :)
