Bunny Rock 5K Indy

Dustin and some friends of ours ran the Bunny Rock 5K Indy this morning.  This is Dustin's second 5K he has ever run.  To give you some perspective, his last 5K run was approximately 5 years ago in Oklahoma City.  :)  So, we are very proud of him!

Here is Dustin, Jess, Aaron, and Jim - all rockin' the bunny ears and sunglasses.

Dustin and Andrew pre-race.  Why I decided to take a picture of them with port-a-pottys behind them is beyond me.

The start of the race!  They played 80s music (that was supposed to be playing throughout the entire race), but was only heard at the start and finish lines.

Andrew and Cole waiting at the finish line.  It was a little chilly.

Here's Jim!  He finished 2nd in his age group.

Aaron

Dustin!  He finished 8th in his age group...although I will warn you that they mistakenly placed him in the 26-29 age group.  Dustin says, "If only..."  So, we don't actually know how accurate his placement is.

Jess!

And even though it was still 48 degrees outside with no sunshine, Dustin finished like a champ and there's still a smile on his face!  So proud of him!

We registered the boys for the Easter Egg Hunt and here they are getting ready.

Jess and Cole

Me and the Demon Child.  He was very antsy at the starting line because there was a blue egg just inches from his hands.  I wouldn't let him grab it until they started and he was not very happy with me.

Andrew got the hang of picking up his eggs.

They even had the kids wear their own numbers for the race!

Yum.  Delicious!

We had such a great time and we are so, so proud of Dustin.

RIP earthworms

The weather this season has been pretty crazy and unpredictable.  First, no winter; Second, heat wave (well, in my opinion); and Three, storms.  After a night of some major storms, Dustin decided to go on a bike ride the next morning since it had cleared out.  Although he went out by himself, he did not come back home alone.

Apparently, rain also means 3.2 million earthworms on the roads.  Don't look at the following pictures if you're squeamish...although I know you'll probably look anyway.

This was not a pretty sight.  And not only did we find about a million earthworms on Dustin's bike, but they were also all over his shoes and riding clothes.  I know...gross, but it was like a bad car wreck...you just can't look away.  RIP earthworms.

Mice are so nice

I finally had a chance to post these pictures of Andrew.  He love Disney Junior - all of it - Mickey Mouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Little Einsteins, and ALL of the singing.  Last week while I was getting lunch ready, I logged on the website to see if I could locate some songs for Andrew.  Oh, Disney Junior, you do not disappoint.  This held Andrew's attention for 45 minutes before I turned it off and encountered his wrath.  No pictures of the tantrum, but plenty of Andrew engrossed with everything Disney.

He had to get up close and personal with the computer.

He loves the "Small Potatoes" singing.

He does NOT like mommy singing with the "Small Potatoes."

Best Buddies

With this unusually warm weather, we headed over to our friends (The Bellomo's) house for a play date and some ribs.  Andrew and Cole have started seeing each other pretty regularly and have become fast friends.

The boys warmed up with a little basketball.

Cole is quite the athlete.

It started warming up in the late afternoon, so shirts came off!

Paint time!

Andrew wasn't crazy about the little bit of paint he got on his arm.

While Cole finished his masterpiece, Andrew did a little bit of scouting and found a toy.

Hugging his buddy!

Both of these guys ran to the fence to watch all of the cars whizzing by.  They look like two jailbirds.

Andrew attempting to escape.

Cole is posing for the camera.  (If you look at Cole's feet, he is actually wearing Andrew's shoes.  He found them by the door and wanted to put them on.)

Silly.  :)

Another pose.  :)

Cole is taking a picture of Dustin taking a picture of him.

Me and Jess.

We have decided that Dustin and Jim need to make a sandbox for the boys to play in, so with a little persuasion from us, we hope to have each one constructed by next week.  :)

Super Baby Yoga

I can't even remember when I was this flexible!  Andrew's new yoga pose - the extreme downward dog!

And he's ok!
