Cincinnati Children's Museum

We were planning on going to the zoo, but mother nature decided to say no.  So, off we went to the Cincinnati Museum Center to visit their Children's Museum.  At this point, Andrew had not taken any naps since arriving in Cincy, he was waking up multiple times in the middle of the night, and I think I may have given him a cold.

Our hopes were, after a nice big breakfast at a local diner, Andrew would wear himself out playing in the museum.  He always does this at home and then naps for 3 hours.  Well, it didn't quite work out that way...

Andrew played all right...he grabbed anything that had wheels on it (including someone's stroller), but didn't like it when any other person wanted the same thing.

This was basically his expression the entire morning.

He didn't want to play in the water or the ball room, he did chase some kids and laughed for about 2.5 seconds, but it all seemed to be too much for him.  He wasn't having a good time and nothing we could do would change his mind.  After about an hour spent at the museum, we decided to head back to the hotel to see if the beast would finally nap.  Success! - But that didn't necessarily mean he was in any better mood.

To sum it all up, Andrew was fine the very first day in Cincinnati, every subsequent day - not so much.  Temper tantrums and crying were the norm for this kid, with few smiles in-between.  When we came home, he napped for three hours and then slept for 12 without so much as a peep.  I think he was a little homesick and missed seeing all of his things.

We will keep our fingers crossed that he will be a little better behaved when we go see our family next month.
