Punkin Patch

Hi, everyone!  So sorry that it's been TWO months since I've last blogged.  Suffice it to say, there has been a lack of excitement in our lives.  Besides a garage sale, multiple failed attempts to go camping, and sickness, we haven't really done anything blog worthy...until now!

Last weekend, we headed to Beasley's Orchard for their annual Heartland Apple Festival with Jess and Cole.  It was a cool morning, but we all had lots of fun.

The boys played in the corn box.

Climbed the hay mountain.

I had to inspect Andrew's butt for stray hay.

Nice photo op if you can get past Andrew's expression.

Mid-morning snack.

Corn maze!  The boys actually told us where to go about 90% of the time and with the exception of skipping our 2nd marker all together, they did a pretty fantastic job.

Going on a hay ride to the pumpkin patch!

Once again, I had to check Andrew's butt for hay.

Andrew tried to lift many pumpkins.  He just didn't understand that he couldn't lift twice his own weight.

If you can't lift 'em, then sit on 'em!

Cole had to participate, too!

We were there for almost 3 hours and I wish we could have spent more, but Dustin had to head to work.  Andrew had such a fun time at the pumpkin patch.

Happy Anniversary!

In the whole rush to post pictures, I totally forgot to mention our anniversary!  This year marks our SIXTH wedding anniversary.  Here we are on our Honeymoon in Key West.

Anniversary statistics:

6 years married
11 years together
2 states lived in
7 apartments/condos/houses moved in or out
5 vehicles bought or sold
1 kid (another on the way)
1 dog
1 turtle
Lots of Love!

Happy Anniversary, my dearest husband!  I love you!

Clean up!

This morning, Dustin had moved some things around by the tv because we were expecting the cable company out.  After lunch, Andrew noticed that Dustin left the swiffer duster out and Andrew thought he would help out.  We looked over and Andrew had found all of his movies, spread them out, and started dusting each one while reciting the name of the movie.

Afterwards, he went over to the tv and dusted the monitor.

He told me he was "cleaning up."  This kid definitely has some Aunt Paula in him.

Music at Eagle Creek

Every Wednesday night, Eagle Creek hosts free music.  We met our friends out there this week for a picnic dinner and some entertainment.

Niki made us cupcakes for dessert and Andrew approves.

And Gabe.

And Cole.

This kid did not act like he belonged to me.  For whatever reason, Andrew had this crazy attraction to Jim.  He just decided to go over to him and hug him.

Andrew gave Gabriel the same idea.

Gabe and Andrew enjoying the music.

Another Andrew and Jim moment.

Could he be any closer to him?

It was a great night.  It wasn't cool, but it wasn't overly warm.  The music was great and we all had a great time.

Fun with Friends and Family

A couple of weeks ago Aunt Khanh, Aunt Teresa and her boyfriend all came out to visit.  We had invited some friends over dinner and a little bit of socializing.  We met a new family with a boy the same age as Andrew and Cole, so they came over to hang out, too.

Here are the boys eating their dinner: Cole, Andrew and Gabriel.

Playing in the sandbox.

Teresa decided to play frisbee, but she has a fear of it flying into her face.  I thought these next pictures were hilarious!

Close...

Closer...

And gone!

The look of terror on her face is priceless!

Jason wowing us with his juggling skills.

Aunt Khanh brought her guitar, but we didn't take a picture of her playing.

Andrew loves Jess!

Only one boy really needed to wash his hands, but somehow all three of them wanted to do it at the same time.

Cole hugging his friend goodbye.

Jason and Teresa

I wish I had taken more pictures while the family was here, but lugging around a camera and chasing after a 2 year old at the same time didn't sound too appealing.  So, you'll just have to believe me when I say that Andrew loved having lots of people's attention.  :)
